What do I do with the Copyright Compliance Form?

Step 1: You must read and understand the enclosed information about your rights and responsibilities in licensing Random Lengths copyrighted material.

Step 2: You must complete, sign, and return the Agreement Form of the Copyright Compliance and Subscriber License (page 4), prior to service beginning or for your service to continue.

Step 3: The Agreement Form then becomes YOUR LICENSE to copy Random Lengths Reports according to the conditions set forth in the Subscriber License.

When do I need to complete and return a signed Agreement Form?

Random Lengths will ask you to review the Copyright Compliance and Subscriber License, then complete, sign, and return the Agreement Form on page four with the number of locations and users per location:

1. Before a new transmission begins

It is to every subscriber's benefit to carefully read and understand their rights and responsibilities in licensing Random Lengths copyrighted material. How a subscriber plans to use Random Lengths information, and who will view that information and receive reports based on it, determines the locations and number of users listed in the Agreement Form.

It also determines whether the company is legally in compliance with the license, so it is very important that the subscriber understand what the license allows, and who must be counted and licensed, prior to beginning the subscription.

2. Once a year, for the renewal of your license

One of the requirements for the renewal of your license is providing Random Lengths with an updated and signed Agreement Form (Random Lengths Copyright Compliance and Subscriber License, page 4), at least once every year. Even if there have been no changes, the Agreement Form must be completed showing the current site locations and number of users at each site, and returned within 30 days of the renewal of your annual license.

3. If there have been changes to your company that might effect your subscription license

Any of the following may indicate the license may need to be updated, and will prompt a request for a new completed and signed Agreement form: opening and closing locations, company mergers and acquisitions, adding or removing additional reports (Lumber, Panel, or Midweek) not currently covered by the license, or changing the number of users for a report.

Even if there have been no changes, an updated Agreement Form may be requested to confirm the effect of the company subscription changes on the spreadsheet and database license agreement already in place with Random Lengths.

4. When requested by Random Lengths

As part of the license, Random Lengths can request an updated and signed Agreement Form be prompty filled out and returned at any time.
