(The following includes a correction to the structural panel production pie charts, published on page 3 in the 2008 Annual Price Averages Special Report enclosed with the December 2008 issue of Yardstick.)
The two structural panel production pie charts in the 2008 Annual Price Averages Special Report, page 3, contained errors. Canadian OSB output proportions were transposed: 2004 should have read 26%, 2008 should have read 18%. Because of rounding, the U.S. OSB proportion in 2004 then should have read 34%.
The following pdf file of the corrected Yardstick Structural Panel Production numbers for the pie charts printed on page 3 of the annual publication, are available to view or download on this page:

(The following includes a correction to the Canadian Lumber Shipments and Inventories tables, published on page 20 in the March and April 2008 issue of Yardstick.)
In the March and April 2008 issues of Yardstick, the Five-Year Data Histories for Canadian Lumber Shipments and Canadian Lumber Inventories on page 20 have been incorrect. For both issues, data listed for several years were actually for the previous years. Data for 2007 had been accidently removed. Data in the 2008 row has been correct. The last issue where the row for 2007 data appeared correctly is the issue of February 2008.

(The following is supplemental to the January 2005 Building Permits, published in the February issue of Yardstick, and the February 2005 Building Permits, published in the March issue of Yardstick.)
The U.S. Census Bureau has revised its January and February Building permits data. Here is the text of their explanation:
ATTENTION BUILDING PERMITS DATA USER. SUBJECT: January & February 2005 data. Due to a mail processing error, some annual places were sent January 2005 C-404 forms. These annual places returned their January 2005 building permit data, which was previously included in all the January 2005 building permit data, except State data. This error also affected the February 2005 YTD Metropolitan area, County, Place Level, and Additions/Alterations/Renovations files as well as the Cumulative Place Level files and the building permit printouts. Replacement data are enclosed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
The following pdf files of the revised Yardstick Building Permits, printed on page 7 of the publication, are available to view or download on this page:
