The table below is designed to help readers convert prices measured in U.S. dollars per 1,000 board or square feet into dollars per cubic meter. These conversions work only for one-inch or two-inch material. The most commonly used function is in BOLD (multiply by for lumber products, and divide by for panel products).
Lumber Products example: If the price of a 1x6 or 2x6 item was $300 per 1,000 board feet, multiply by 0.6167 to find the dollar per cubic meter price, which in this example would be $185 per cubic meter.
Panel Products example: If the price of a 3/4 item was $665 per 1,000 square feet, divide by 1.770 to find the dollar per cubic meter price, which in this example would be $376 per cubic meter.
